In a nutshell, I’m 34, married and have one child.
I live in Telford, but was born in Weymouth. My Dad was in the army so we traveled around a lot. I have lived in Germany and Hong Kong in addition to a few places in the UK.
I studied for my degree in Computer Science at Staffordshire and Wolverhampton Universities, and have worked in many IT roles throughout my current working life.
i have worked in secondary schools, providing IT support across a wide audience and wide mix of technology.
I have worked for IT service companies providing IT support and consultancy services for Small and Medium sized businesses. This also included many other facets of the Computer and IT sphere. Such as Electronic Component Repair on Laptops, Mobile phones, Tables and pretty much anything electrical that people would bring to us.
I owned my own business providing similar services, and let me tell you the stress of having your own company and employing 18 staff really teaches a sense of responsibility and empathy.
More recently I have decided to plow my skills and experience I have gained so far in life, into becoming a secondary school teacher, teaching Computer Science. This will be the ultimate test of my abilities and will be a huge challenge, but I feel it will be the next big chapter in my life.
